Seller Customer Service Specialist – (German Speaking)
Location: Lisbon, Portugal – On-site
Start Date:8 January 2026
Working Schedule:
Phase 1:
- Monday to Sunday
- Shift options: 08:00–17:00 or 09:00–18:00 (rotative shifts)
- Days Off: 2 rotational days
Phase 2 (at a later date – TBC by client):
- 24/7 rotational shifts, Monday to Sunday
Role Overview:
As a Seller Customer Service Specialist, you will support German-speaking sellers on the platform, helping them manage their accounts, improve performance, and achieve business success. This role requires strong customer service skills combined with sales awareness and a commercial mindset, supporting sellers through guidance, issue resolution, and performance-related recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer support to sellers via email, chat, and/or phone in German and English
- Support sellers with account-related inquiries, performance issues, and platform usage
- Identify opportunities to influence seller success through guidance and best practices
- Apply sales awareness to encourage adoption of platform tools and features
- Ensure high-quality service delivery while meeting KPIs and SLAs
- Accurately document interactions and actions in internal systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex seller issues
Mandatory Requirements:
- Fluent German and advanced English
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, telesales, account management, or customer success roles connected to business development
- Sales awareness and the ability to positively influence seller performance (mandatory)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends
Important Client Requirement:
- Candidates must not have previously worked for ByteDance, regardless of line of business, BPO, or country.
(Profiles with any prior ByteDance experience should not be submitted.)
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting online sellers, e-commerce platforms, or marketplaces
- Familiarity with sales KPIs and performance metrics
- Experience in B2B customer support environments
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: 1,100€ (paid over 14 months)
- Complexity Bonus: 100€ (paid over 11 months)
- Meal Allowance: 7.63 € per day
- Health Insurance: since day 1 (free after 6 months of contract.)
